Elk Falls Hickory – Snowdrift

Elk Falls Hickory – Snowdrift white hickory flooring takes the knotted, freely figured grain of American Appalachian Hickory and cools it right down. Snowdrift is a soft white-wash that lets the rustic AA/B/C/D character show through in shadow rather than in colour, so the timber reads pale and airy while the wire-brushed texture keeps it tactile. The matte European PU finish holds the whole surface at a quiet, chalky sheen.

A pale floor like this lifts light-starved rooms, and it suits bedrooms, living areas and hallways in coastal, Scandinavian and contemporary homes where the joinery is doing the talking. The 14mm board with its 2mm wear layer and 9.5kN Janka hardness stands up to daily traffic, and the Unilin click system allows a floating install or glue-down. Pair it with white-oiled cabinetry, black tapware and natural wool. On display now at our Dry Creek showroom, Adelaide.
