Description

Village Oak by Preference Floors in Rock Salt is light grey oak flooring with a clean, crystalline pallor — European Oak lifted almost to white but held back by the faintest grey, so the board looks scrubbed rather than stained and the grain shows as fine pale lines. Light brushing leaves a dry, granular texture across the surface that reads exactly as the name suggests, and the matte coating keeps it entirely free of sheen. Boards come 1900×190mm wide or 2200×220mm extra-wide, 14mm total over a 3mm oak wear layer.

Very pale floors do the most work in the smallest spaces, so this is a strong choice for apartments, bedrooms and hallways as well as open-plan living. It belongs to coastal and Scandinavian interiors, where it sits against white walls, pale linen, rattan, honed marble and brushed nickel and lets light travel further into the room. Install direct-stick or floating; compatible with in-slab hydronic heating. See it in person at our Adelaide showroom in Dry Creek.
