De Marque Oak – Raw (Herringbone)
An untinted oak engineered timber flooring laid as 600 120mm herringbone parquetry in European Oak, under a light-brushed matte European PU finish.
Description
De Marque Oak – Raw (Herringbone) is an oak engineered timber flooring cut into 600×120mm blocks and set in herringbone, with the timber left as close to untouched as the range goes. Raw is exactly that: pale, unstained European Oak in soft wheat and bone tones, its medullary rays and small tight knots fully visible, lightly brushed so the grain sits slightly proud of the surface. A matte European PU seals it without warming or yellowing the colour. Choose 15mm with a 4mm wear layer or 21mm with a 6mm wear layer, both thick enough to be sanded back in future.
Herringbone gives living areas, entries and hallways a sense of craft that straight boards cannot, and the raw pale tone keeps the pattern quiet enough for minimalist and Scandinavian interiors. It reads beautifully with limewash, pale plaster, linen and stainless or brushed nickel details. Parquetry is direct-fix adhesive only, and suits in-slab hydronic heating. See it in person at our Adelaide showroom in Dry Creek.
