Village Oak – Ashwood
Ashwood is an ashen, dry-toned grey oak flooring in engineered European Oak, light-brushed matte, in wide 190mm or extra-wide 220mm boards.
Description
Village Oak by Preference Floors in Ashwood is grey oak flooring with a dry, ashen character — European Oak greyed off to the colour of cold woodash, neither silver nor charcoal but somewhere in between, with the grain reading as a slightly darker trace through it. Light brushing gives the board a matte, powdery texture that suits the colour exactly, and the finish adds no gloss to argue with it. Boards run 1900×190mm wide or 2200×220mm extra-wide, 14mm total over a 3mm oak wear layer.
Ashen grey is an architect’s neutral: it disappears under strong joinery and stone and lets the built elements of a room lead, which makes it a considered choice for open-plan living, hallways and bedrooms. It suits minimalist and contemporary interiors alongside white or putty walls, honed concrete, matt black hardware and pale oak furniture. Install direct-stick or floating; compatible with in-slab hydronic heating. Visit our Adelaide showroom to see the full range up close.
