Village Oak – Burnt Ash
Burnt Ash is deep, smoked brown plank engineered timber flooring in European Oak, light-brushed matte, in wide 190mm or extra-wide 220mm boards.
Description
Village Oak by Preference Floors in Burnt Ash is brown plank engineered timber flooring with real depth to it — European Oak taken down to a smoked, charred-brown tone where the grain shows as darker ink against a cooler brown ground, the way ash looks after a fire has burned through it. Light brushing keeps the surface tactile rather than flat, and the matte coating stops the darkness reading as gloss. Boards run 1900×190mm wide or 2200×220mm extra-wide, 14mm total over a 3mm oak wear layer.
A dark floor does something no pale floor can: it anchors a room and makes the walls and joinery above it feel lighter. It is a considered choice for open-plan living and dining or a formal sitting room, and it suits contemporary and industrial-leaning interiors, sitting confidently against white or greige walls, raw steel, marble and pale oak furniture. Direct-stick or floating installation, and compatible with in-slab hydronic heating. See it in person at our Adelaide showroom in Dry Creek.
