Select Australian Timber – Brushed Blackbutt is a brushed blackbutt engineered timber floor made from the real thing: a 3mm wear layer of Australian hardwood over a three-layer Hevea core, at 14.2mm total. Brushed Blackbutt keeps the species’ honey-to-pale-tan gradation and fine straight grain, and the brushing opens the surface just enough to feel the timber rather than the coating. It is pre-finished in a water-based UV lacquer in semi-gloss or matte, and boards lock together with Välinge 5G click in 1820×135mm or 1820×180mm widths.

Blackbutt is one of the most recognisable Australian floors, and its warm brown tone belongs in living areas, bedrooms and hallways across contemporary Australian, coastal and transitional interiors — beside white walls, stone benchtops and black-framed joinery. It is a floating installation with E1 emissions, and it is not suitable over underfloor heating. See it in person at our Adelaide showroom in Dry Creek.
