Description

Village Oak by Preference Floors in Ghost Grey is grey plank engineered timber flooring at the palest end of the spectrum — European Oak washed back until the colour barely holds, so the grain reads as faint silver-grey lines across a near-white ground. It is the look of driftwood left out in the sun for a season. Light brushing gives the surface a dry, chalky tooth, and the matte coating keeps daylight from bouncing off it. Boards come 1900×190mm wide or 2200×220mm extra-wide, 14mm total over a 3mm oak wear layer.

A floor this light expands a room, which makes it a strong choice for open-plan living, bedrooms and hallways in smaller homes and apartments. It belongs in coastal and minimalist interiors, next to white walls, pale linen, honed stone and matt black hardware, and it hides dust better than a dark board ever will. Install direct-stick or floating; compatible with in-slab hydronic heating. On display now at our Dry Creek showroom, Adelaide.
