Fiddleback Australian Hardwood – Spotted Gum (Herringbone)
Engineered Australian spotted gum in 430 86mm herringbone parquetry a warm brown spotted gum engineered timber flooring with a matte PU finish over a multi-ply plywood core.
Description
Fiddleback Australian Hardwood in Spotted Gum takes one of the country’s most characterful species and sets it into herringbone parquetry — a spotted gum engineered timber flooring of genuine Australian hardwood over a multi-ply plywood core. The brown timber runs from honeyed caramel through deeper chocolate streaking, with the fine gum vein and wavy fiddleback figure that give the species its name. A matte PU finish keeps the grain honest rather than glossy, and at 11kN on the Janka scale spotted gum is among the hardest floors you can lay in a home.
Laid at 430×86mm, the herringbone pattern brings movement and craftsmanship to entries, formal living rooms and open-plan hallways, where the interlocking V draws the eye along the space. It reads classic in a heritage home and surprisingly contemporary against white walls and black joinery, and the same range is available as standard plank or rustic boards if you want to change pattern between rooms.
