Description

Elk Falls Hickory in Double Char takes the wild figure of Appalachian Hickory to its darkest expression — a charcoal hickory flooring board where a smoked, near-black surface still lets the grain, knots and mineral streaks of the rustic AA/B/C/D grade show through in graphite and ash tones. The light wire-brushing gives the charcoal depth rather than flatness, and the matte European PU finish absorbs light instead of bouncing it. Built as a 14mm engineered board with a 2mm wear layer and a Janka hardness of 9.5kN.

In a 1900×189mm plank this is a floor for dramatic open-plan living, formal dining and moody contemporary interiors — it holds its own against white walls, black steel, pale stone benchtops and deep greens. Install floating over the Unilin click system or direct glue-down. On display now at our Dry Creek showroom, Adelaide.
