Elk Falls Hickory – Smokey Peat

Elk Falls Hickory in Smokey Peat is dark hickory flooring with smoke drawn right through it — a deep, peat-dark tone over engineered American Appalachian Hickory in rustic AA/B/C/D grade, where the timber’s natural contrast still surfaces as flecks of lighter grain against the charcoal. The light wire-brushed matte European PU finish keeps the darkness soft rather than lacquered, on a 14mm board with a 2mm wear layer and 9.5kN Janka rating.

Dark floors give a room weight, and this one anchors open-plan living areas, hallways and bedrooms in contemporary and industrial-leaning interiors. It looks sharpest against white walls, pale stone and matt black joinery. Installs floating with Unilin click or glue-down. See it in person at our Adelaide showroom in Dry Creek.
