Description

Fiddleback Australian Hardwood – Blackbutt engineered timber flooring is a pale golden blackbutt flooring — real Australian eucalypt, sliced as a hardwood veneer and bonded over a multi-ply plywood core for stability. Blackbutt gives the range its lightest, calmest face: a pale golden brown with straight, even grain, occasional gum vein and a soft pink cast that deepens gently with light over the years. The matte polyurethane finish and micro-bevelled edges keep the focus on the timber itself rather than any sheen, and at 9.1kN on the Janka scale the species holds its own underfoot.

Offered as a 1860×136mm or 1860×189mm plank, a 430×86mm herringbone parquetry and a rustic board, it reads beautifully across living areas, bedrooms and hallways in coastal, contemporary and Australian classic interiors. As an engineered floor it stays truer through seasonal change than solid boards of the same species. See it in person at our Adelaide showroom in Dry Creek.
