Fiddleback Australian Hardwood – Rustic Blackbutt
Rustic Blackbutt is characterful Blackbutt engineered flooring, with Australian hardwood over a plywood core, matte PU finish, 9.1kN Janka hardness.
Description
Fiddleback Australian Hardwood by Preference Floors in Rustic Blackbutt is Blackbutt engineered flooring chosen for character — the pale honey-to-golden-brown tone Blackbutt is loved for, but graded to keep the knots, gum vein and colour swing that a cleaner grade edits out. The Australian hardwood face sits over a multi-ply plywood core in either 12mm with a 0.6mm veneer or 14mm with a 3mm wear layer, finished in matte PU with a micro-bevel. Blackbutt measures 9.1kN on the Janka scale, so it takes a busy household in its stride.
Its light, warm tone brightens open-plan living, hallways and bedrooms and is a natural companion to coastal and warm contemporary interiors — white walls, pale linen, rattan, brushed nickel. Planks run 1860×136mm or 1860×189mm, with 430×86mm herringbone parquetry available in the same range. Note that this range is not suitable for underfloor heating, and it is manufactured to a <E1 VOC standard. A favourite among Adelaide builders and designers.
